Remington's World > Remington’s World Presents: NYz Justice
Born in 1988 in Harlem, New York and raised in Yonkers, New York, NYz Justice was always around music. He was influenced and brought into rap by his older brother and mentor John. Always striving to be as good as his brother, he set off and strived for greatness. His first on stage performance was in 6th grade at a middle school talent show singing “Maria, Maria” By Product B and Santana with a close friend. Discovering his singing talent in middle school, opened up new doors and pushed him to expand his horizons in music and continued to perform at a talent show freshman year in high school, followed by a showcase affiliated with Ruff Ryderz in the Bronx at a venue called “The Dugout” by the old Yankee Stadium.
After years of back and forth between rap and RnB he’s felt comfortable with his style mixing genres and not limiting himself to one area, and has proved to be extremely versatile, having wrote songs for other aspiring artists in Rap, RnB, Pop, and even Pop/Punk Rock genres. His musical influence originally comes from a wide range of artists in different genres as well. From Tupac, Big Pun, Donnell Jones, Blackstreet, Boys II Men, and more from back in the day, to more modern artists like The Dream, Pleasure P, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Wale and more.
At the moment, NYz Justice is working on two separate mixtapes, names TBH as soon as possible with information, features, release dates, etc. Find out first via Twitter, Facebook, and Reverbnation. One will be more of a REMIX tape, with a collection of his most recent remixes to popular songs, which WILL include a fan favorite remix to rapper Wale’s own, “Lotus Flower Bomb”. The other mixtape will be a mixture of Rap, Hip Hop, and RnB so keep on the lookout for that! He’s also setting off to perform this fall/winter in venues all over NYC and other areas.
